The Foundation for Entrepreneurial Research and Development (FERAD) is dedicated to the promotion of transformative social and economic change through entrepreneurial research and development.

FERAD’s mission is to contribute to projects that productively engage people, process and technology in empowering individuals, communities and societies to contribute to their individual and collective wellbeing and financial prosperity through entrepreneurial endeavors.

Entrepreneurial research and development initiatives focus on adding to and then supporting the dissemination of innovative entrepreneurial knowledge and applied practices by leveraging a wide range of existing organizational efforts aimed at productively stimulating economic, community and workforce development progress. These include government organizations, non-profit economic development agencies, corporate citizenship channels, social purpose ventures, and hybrid organizations that combine elements of nonprofit and for-profit business objectives to address core entrepreneurial development and other emerging market demands.

FERAD believes that entrepreneurship represents a powerful force in bringing about economic independence and shared prosperity in virtually any geography, community and region around the globe. Entrepreneurs productively engage in activities that serve to create new jobs, generate wealth, stimulate local economies, reduce economic disparities, increase opportunities for the disadvantaged, promote social capital and increase interpersonal and intercultural exchanges that are critical elements for driving world peace.

As an innovative agent for collaboration and transformative leadership, FERAD’s vision is to advance entrepreneurial knowledge and connect millions of individuals around the globe to the resources they require to start, grow and succeed in entrepreneurial pursuits.
